Parish Council

Wilby Parish Council now has it’s own website.  Click here to visit this.

For a short time the Parish Council pages on this site will remain available to view but these will be removed in the coming weeks to prevent duplication.  However the link to the Parish Council will remain here and you will find that there is also a link from that site to this one in the weblinks panel on their Home Page.

The Parish Council has up to 7 elected Councillors plus our Parish Clerk.  The Council is elected every 4 years with the next election due to be held in May 2019.  Anyone living or owning land within the Parish boundary is eligible to stand. Further information is available from the Parish Clerk or any existing Councillor.

The Council meets 6 times a year, generally on the third Monday of alternate months starting in January each year. The meetings are held in Wilby School Hall and start at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along and there is an opportunity at the start of each meeting for the public to raise any local matters to members of the Council.  Once this agenda item has been concluded, members of the public are welcome to stay to listen to the rest of the meeting but it should be noted that from then on they are not permitted to speak or influence the Council’s decisions.

Do look at the other Council pages on this site for further reading.
