Arrest for drink driving – Great Doddington

A Message from Northamptonshire Police:
In the early hours of this morning (25th March) officers have stopped a vehicle on Hardwater Road, Great Doddington due to the manner of driving (swerving all over the road). The driver was required to complete a roadside breath test which was failed (over twice the prescribed limit for alcohol). The driver was arrested and taken into custody.

While strict alcohol limits and drink driving penalties exist to ensure safe driving on the roads, it’s been estimated that between 2010 and 2015 there were 36,900 reported drink drive accidents and 1,410 reported deaths caused by drink driving accidents.
